表現失常
lose the plot

莎士比亞說”All the world’ s a stage（人生如戲）”，無論身分、年齡、職業，就好像演員般，照著一定的劇情（plot）去演。既然是演員，總會有「演得好」或「演不好」的時候。要是一個人（演員）把劇情都忘了”lose the plot”（搞丟了），那整齣劇當然是荒腔走板。中文裡，若要形容某個人表現失常，就可以說這個人是搞丟了劇情，由此即可推知這人表現有多「走樣」了。

Josh：You know what’ s wrong with Simon? He was so bizarre at the meeting this morning.

Josh：你知道Simon是怎麼了嗎？今早會議上他好怪。.

Fanny：I have no clue. I was so surprised to see him stuttering a lot at his own presentation.

Fanny：我也不知?。他今天做簡報時一直結結巴巴的讓我很訝異。

Josh：Giving presentation has always been his fort. But this morning, he just behaved so differently that at one point, I started wondering if he’ s got an identical twin pretending to be him presenting on the stage.

Josh：做簡報他最在行了，可是今天早上，他的表現完全不同以往，我還在想，是不是他有一個雙胞胎弟弟假扮他在台上簡報呢。

Fanny：You got too good imagination. Simon is the only son in his family. But really， I don’ t know why he totally lost his plot this morning.

Fanny：你的想像力太豐富了啦。Simon可是他們家唯一的男生?。可是說回來，我也不懂今天早上他為何表現如此失常.

Josh：Perhaps he’ s ill or something. We should go check him out and see if there’s anything we can help.

Josh：或許他生病了還是什麼的。我們應該去看看他是不是需要我們的幫忙。
